Is David McWilliams a demi-god or what?

Read this by David McWilliams, the only Irish columnist and commentator who has a clue, apart from Morgan Kelly.

Here is Morgan Kelly writing in Aug 2008, before the international financial meltdown:

  1. hmm, not sure i'd agree with you on that one. a country that is already looking to seek huge amounts of money loosing ridiculous amounts of money each day( about 8 billion minimum this year). probably not a good idea to go off and spend way more money we don't have also. the people who bought in the 70 and 80 that he refers to are all in trouble too as the majority all bought 2 and 3 rd properties for investments and owned bank share

  2. Well, I’m not saying that I agree with McWilliams entirely … just that I think he’s a demi-god.

  3. Morgan Kelly seems less flakey. Probably has not got a sufficient dose of celebrity yet to get distorted by hubris. Nevertheless, one would have to agree that Williams has more of the characteristics of a demi-god but do we need these any more than the original product?
